Dear Herman Family: What a gem Joan was! I had the pleasure of serving as the attorney for Orland Township while Joan was on the Township Board. She was always there with a twinkle in her eye and a witty remark. She was a very warm, kind woman, and I always looked forward to seeing her. I am sorry for your loss. Heaven rejoices while we weep.
