Dear Harriet and family, We will never forget the encouragement and time that Dr. VG invested in Doug and me during our years at Covenant Seminary. We will always treasure our suppers with you and Dutch Bingo conversations. We have many memories but one special memory for me is when Dr. VG held our oldest daughter, placed his big hand upon her baby head and quietly prayed for her. Of course, we have the precious memories of sitting in his Biblical Theology class. Doug is thankful for his godly example to his students and to his peers. We consider him a father in the faith and are so grateful for the opportunity to have known him. Sad hearts, but joyful to know that we will see him again in Glory.
