Mermaid Barb

My mom loved to fish and since they live on the Kankakee River, she used to fish all the time. Mom could not swim, and the river was shallow so all was good. Until one particular time, she decided to wear wadding overhauls and went out in the middle of the river. She slipped and fell and she was thrashing around trying to get up but couldn't and was yelling help, help and the bate box kept hitting her in the face and she was getting hysterical..the neighbors saw, her and yelled all you have to do is stand up,because you are only in 2 inches of water....the neighbor gave her the name mermaid Barb. She survived, but was very angry at the neighbor....she was a hoot
