My daddy and me

I could sit here all day and share memory after memory I have of my father. There are two particular memories that stick out for me. The take place my junior year in high school. My father knew how much I loved Hanson. He tried so hard to get tickets for me for my birthday to see them in Chicago but was unable to. He, did however, manage to get tickets for the Milwaukee concert. My father drove with me all the way to Wisconsin and sat for almost four hours during that concert; and it was just for me. The other memory, again, takes place my junior year. My father and I were in my car and like most of the time when I drove, I had Hanson playing over the radio. My father, having the craziest sense of humor, starting dancing in the passenger seat to MMMBop. Other drivers looking on didn't seem to bother him; but being 17 years old, I was more embarrassed than anything. Once the song was over (yes, he danced through the whole song) he looked over at me with a huge smile on my face and said, "Be embarrassed all you want but one day you'll miss this." And yes, I do. I will miss it everyday. I would give anything to have my father back, even if he were to dance to MMMBop.
