Patience

My son Brendan has Autism.  Going to parties was always a stressful thing for me because I always had to keep an eye on Brendan because he likes to talk talk talk to everyone.  The only parties I felt relaxed at where the ones that Mary Whittam were at.  The reason is because everytime Brendan would start talking to Mary she would sit there so patient and listen to Brendan.  When I would walk into the room to check on him she would wave me away and tell me he was okay and for me to go sit and relax.

I will never forget Mary's patience and kindness towards my son Brendan.  I always felt so relaxed when she was at a party because I knew she was okay with Brendan's constant talking.  It made me feel good that I did not have to worry and keep checking on him.  It gave me some piece of mind, even if it were for a few minutes.

Thank you Mary for touching so many lives.  You definetly touched mine.  We will miss you dearly.
