It has been a year now. I think of her so often with all our fond memories!. I enjoy looking at all the pictures that you put on this site. My prayers are with the family. She is looking down and smiling at all of us.
Love,
Maureen
Grandma,
There are so many wonderful memories I have of you and I will forever cherish them. Thank you for always being supportive in my life decisions, for helping my family through some difficult times, for staying strong, and for being so loving. I know you are enjoying your time being reunited with loved ones who have gone before us. Say hello to Aunt Gert and Uncle Ed for me!
Aunt Dorothy,
I am so grateful that you and I shared all those memories. It was sad to say Good Bye to you, as I will miss you very much. May you rest in peace and say hello to my Dad for me!
Love,
Maureen
We met seventy years ago at Kelly High School and lived near each other in Brighton Park in those days. We corresponded until a few years ago; but hadn't seen each other in at least sixty years. I was saddened to find your obit in today's newspaper. Rest in peace old friend. There are so few of us left. Love, Eleanor
Rest in Peace my old friend. I have very fond memories of you and our friendship. May you rest in peace in God's kingdom. I know we'll meet again in heaven. Meanwhile, you will always be in my prayers, please pray for me.
Love forever,
Ele
Dear Aunt Dorothy, I'm writing you this final letter as I have received the sad news. I have dug down deep into my soul today and thought and thought. This is what I remember, I remember as a child on Mormann Lane, the BBQ's my dad would have and all of you would come over to enjoy. I remember it rained one time and we grilled in the garage, I remember when I was very young and you would ask me to sing "C'mon baby light my fire", I remember you always calling me "the dude", didn't know what it was ,but it made you happy, I remember that you never ever forgot my birthday or holiday, I remember playing ping pong in your garage in Worth, I remember you threatening to wash out my mouth with soap for saying the word "shit", I remember you consoling me at my Dad's funeral, because you knew what it was like to lose a parent at a young age. I remember when I got older, the silly stories you would tell me about the family, I remember when you and Uncle Harry brought Jimmy and Amy to California and we went fishing, I remember when I brought my son Quentin to Chicago and we went to "Bengston's" Halloween Fest and watched pig races, But most of all, I remember your happy smile! God bless you Aunt Dorothy, and may the force be with you!
Eddie
PS, say hi to Charlie!
