Condolence: My deepest sympathy to your family on the loss of Wendy. I worked with her at Elim Christian School, and she had my daughter as her teacher. She was a very caring person toward ALL of her students. She will be missed by many. She walked the Christian life she believed.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to the Roon family. I've lived in the same neighborhood for the past 14 years and whenever I saw Wendy she would always have a smile on her face and a kind word. So sorry that her life on earth was cut short.

Condolence: Wendy was a very sweet person. She helped my son from 1 grade till 8th grade. We loved her. She always had a smile while fighting a tough battle. She will be missed. I know she will be very happy to be with God. She was a very faith filled woman. Thanks Wendy . Chris Draisma

Condolence: My prayers and sympathy for the Roon family. Wendy was the answer to our prayers when our son began attending Southwest in Tinley. She has helped and encouraged so many children to learn in ways unique to each child's need. She has been such a blessing and will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Wendy was a remarkable woman. She touched the minds and hearts of every child she came into contact with. My boys were so blessed by her love and compassion over the years. I am so thankful to have been able to spend time working with her in the classroom, getting to know her as a loving friend. She will be so dearly missed!
