Condolences

Condolence From: Regina Janecek
Condolence: I was a student in Miss Suhanek's 6th grade class. I remember that she wad a strict educator. As an adult, I realize how much her style of teaching helped mold me into the woman that I am today. I'm sorry that I never got to thank her. May she rest in peace.

Condolence: Miss Suhanek was my 6th grade teacher for a few weeks. She was the strictest teacher I had up to that point at McCormick Elementary and I was terrified of failing to please her so I followed her orders to perfection. After the two weeks were over, she transferred me to a 7th grade class and told my mother I was too smart for her class. So I basically skipped 6th grade and had to leave the friends I had since kindergarten. It’s a memory I still have to this day. She devoted a lifetime to teaching children and I’m sure many of us grew up and benefited from her style of education. May she Rest In Peace.

Condolence From: Ann Marie Bowman (formerly Sperlingas)
Condolence: Miss Suhanek was my teacher in elementary school (McCormick School) in Chicago. She took care of me through my early years at University in Eau Claire Wisconsin. I cared for her deeply though I did not stay in touch. I married and also pursued further education as a nurse. I got a PhD in Nursing and believe I would not have had faith in my ability to accomplish this had it not been for "Tia". She was, and will ever remain, an inspiration to me. My condolences to her remaining family.
Sincerely,
Ann Marie Bowman (Sperlingas)
