It has been 45 years since I sat in Miss Litland's fifth grade class at Evergreen Park Christian School. I was a child given to day-dreaming and on this day I was staring out the window. Miss Litland demanded my attention, but I pointed out a then rare flock of geese flying in perfect "V". With her permission and encouragement the whole class moved to the windows to watch this little wonder of nature fly by. It was a very fleeting moment in my education but one that lingers in memory because of a teacher who could put aside her lesson and enjoy with her students a little testimony of general revelation.
