Ronald S.  Slager
Ronald S. Slager, age 53, "fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith," went home to be with his Lord after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend for 26 years to Donna, nee Tobuch. Loving father of Kelsey, Dylan and Lindsey. Devoted son of Doris (nee Janke) and the late Wilbur Slager. Dearest brother of James (Rita), Laura (Mark) Smith and Robert (Jayne). Fond son-in-law of Richard and Maryann Tobuch. Dear brother-in-law of Debbie (Bill) Grundy and Mary Lou (Mark) Björkman. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Ron will also be missed by his many friends, colleagues and players. He was a dedicated CPA for CBIZ in Chicago for 30 years. Passionate basketball coach and Wall of Honor Inductee at CCHS. Visitation Friday, October 16, 2015 from 2-9 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Graveside Service Saturday, October 17, 2015, 9:30 a.m. at Orland Memorial Park Cemetery, 153rd St. & West Ave., Orland Park, IL. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church, 7500 W. Sycamore Dr., Orland Park, IL.
