" Hello friend!"

I remember the first time I visited Aunt Gert and Uncle Aubrey. I must have been 3 or 4 years old it was summer and they were living in a brick house in Dwight,Illinois.  A yellowjacket naied me in the ear, it felt like a sledgehammer.  Uncle Aubrey and mom took me to the emergency room.

Many summers sister Peggy and I visited and attended vacation bible school in Dwight and later Gary & Valparaiso,In.

Uncle Aubrey would greet us with " Hello Friend !"   I beleive our last visit with him at Debby's started the same way.  I don't think he ever met a stranger. Aubrey could always be counted on when you needed help, it's what he did.  He would often stop by for a visit in Joliet whenever he was at Stateville Pen ministering to the inmates.  Uncle Aubrey will certainly be missed as he joins the ranks of The Greatest Generation in their eternal sleep.  God Bles you Aubrey for all you have done for the Dotson's and Tennant families. And your service to this country
