Condolence: I was recently searching my old volleyball address book from 1987 when I lived in Chicago and found out this news about Denise. She was so passionate about volleyball and organizing teams for leagues and tournaments. I still have an old Volleyball tee shirt of hers that she gave me. I have many fond memories of her and my Chicago volleyball family. She is missed dearly.

Condolence: My sincerest sympathies to the Phillips family. I can't believe Denise is gone. Denise became a very special person in my life and I will always remember the time I spent with her. She always lit up my day with her beautiful smile, piercing blue eyes and goofy laugh. She also succeeded in giving me a new perspective on a lot of things. She was so much fun to be around. I will miss her terribly. We are all fortunate to have known her. Sweet dreams BG.

Condolence: I was so stunned and sorry to hear about Denise. My memories include her always positive attitude, smiling face and an awesome volleyball player. We VB ladies were looking forward to playing with her on the beach in the summer since she moved back to Chicago. She will be missed.

Condolence: Even though I haven't seen Denise in over 20 years she made a lasting impression on me when I met her at the Volleyball Chicago clinic. Please accept my condolences for her loss at such a young age.

Condolence: I still can't believe the news. Denise Phillips was so full of life, had such a positive attitude and made the world a more joyful place just being in it.
