William Rohlfs

William H. "Bill" Rohlfs, was born in Chicago, IL on November 10, 1923 to Hattie and Herman Rohlfs. Bill passed away on February 2, 2025 at the age of 101. Beloved husband for 72 years to the late Ruth L. Rohlfs, nee Swanson (2022). Loving father of Deborah (Kevin) Elliott and Diane Rohlfs. Cherished grandfather of Kristen (Jeff) Walraven and David Elliott. Dearest great-grandfather of Ben, Elli and Will Walraven; Savannah, Joshua, Liam and Madeleine Elliott. Dear brother of Gloria (late George) Bulau.

Bill was a WWII Army Veteran serving in Europe. In 1982, he retired from the Illinois Bell Telephone Company after 40 years of service. He and Ruth loved to travel throughout the United States and Europe but their favorite place to visit was Door County, WI. Bill was a "Die-Hard" Cubs fan and attended many games.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a private interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
