William Hutcherson

William R. “Bill” Hutcherson, 84, of Palos Heights, IL, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025.

Bill was a devoted husband to Angela D. Hutcherson for 32 years and a beloved father to John (Diana Mitchell) Hutcherson, Christopher (Kimberlee) Hutcherson, Laura (Mike) Krebs, Valerie Locati, and Todd (Elizabeth) Hutcherson. He was also a proud stepfather to Robert Darrow (Steve West), Jeanne Peck (Sean Smart), and Michelle (Sean) Smyth.

He was a cherished grandfather of 14, to Colton (Meghan) Hutcherson, Saber (Rachel) Hutcherson, Hannah, Cora, Emma, and Ava Krebs, Natalia (Sean) Molloy, Nick Hutcherson (Emma Hasken), Nichelle Hutcherson, Taylor and Selah Hutcherson, Delphine Peck, and Madeline and Charlotte Smyth. Bill was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Violet Hutcherson; Gunner, Hunter, River, and Ember Hutcherson; Charlie and Stetson Hutcherson; and Stella and Goldie Molloy.

Born to Marguerite Gingrich Hutcherson and Bill Sr. Hutcherson, Bill was a loving son and a dear brother to Sharon Bulow.

Bill found joy in many things—his love of cooking, working with his hands as a general contractor over the years, playing and watching golf, and celebrating the rare but sweet victories of the Chicago Bears. But most of all, Bill’s greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those he loved, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 12:00 Noon at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
