William Beukema

William John "Bill" Beukema, Sr. age 83, of the Beverly neighborhood in Chicago. Beloved husband of almost 64 years to Tess (Dykstra) Beukema. Loving father of Chad (Sharon), William Jr. (Karyn), Susan (John) Grady, Robert (Toni) and Christopher (Deborah). Cherished grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 11. Dearest brother of Marlene (Joe) Brannon and the late Joanne (Herman) DeVries. Dear brother-in-law of Richard (Cheryl) Dykstra, Diane (Richard) Wendt, Pearl (Dave) Dekker and the late David (Patricia) Dykstra.

“Senior” loved his garden, and in retirement often lent his landscaping expertise to family and neighbors calling his business Charity Landscaping. He was co-owner of Amber Mechanical Contractors for 43 years and spent much of his free time on the golf course when not in his garden or woodworking. He lived a spartan life, finding joy and comfort in the Lord and in his family of whom he was extremely proud.

In honor of “Senior,” if you’re a golfer, feel free to wear your favorite golf shirt for the visitation and service.

Visitation Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 4:30 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
