William R. Baldyga

William (Bill, Billy, Billy Boy) Richard Baldyga passed away on May 31st, 2025 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Katherine of whom he was married to for 43 years, his sister, Beverly (late Bob) Kawarski and his parents, Al and Helen Baldyga and his  best canine friend , Buddy. He was the loving father to his son, Kurt (Lynn) Baldyga and daughter, Kelly ( Don) Gallagher; Loving Grandpa / Papa to his grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, Haileigh and Landon; dear brother to Gerri (Bill) Weiher; loving father-in-law, uncle, cousin, friend and all the things to so, so many.

Aside from his love for family and friends, Bill will be best remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing, his love of the Chicago Bears, (only when they were winning though), his disdain for the Green Bay Packers, his admirable work ethic, his great love of cars, classic and new, NASCAR, his amazing woodworking skills, Elvis, Gunsmoke, Pinwheels, Sno Balls, Thin mints, peanuts, ribs and REAL Pepsi and his unfiltered personality of which he passed on to his daughter:)

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, at Maher Funeral Home, 17101 71st. Ave., Tinley Park, Il. between 3pm and 8pm with a prayer service at with Deacon Edward Dolan at 7pm. Because Bill was truly the animal whisperer, in lieu of flowers, please donate to one of the following below:
