Wesley J. Folgers

Wesley John Folgers, 72, of Matteson, died June 21, 2008, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 9340 W. 147th St. Orland Park, IL.
Wes was born on July 1, 1935 in Berwyn, IL to the late John "Jack" and Florence (Overbeek) Folgers. He married MaryLou Dykstra on March 4, 1955.
In addition to his wife, Wes is survived by daughter Debra Folgers of St. Anne, IL and three sons: David Folgers of Orland Park, Doug (Laura) Folgers of Long Island, NY and Dan (Tami) Folgers of Mokena; ten grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, brother John (Pat) Folgers of Orland Park, one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Wes was known in the Chicago area as the founder of Folgers Flag and Decorating, Inc. in Blue Island, IL, owner of G. B. Feld in Mokena and Associated Attractions in Chicago.
Wes enjoyed an active life of fishing, boating, and animals, especially his canine buddies, Lucky and the late Holly. He was an avid card playing enthusiast.
