Walter B. "Wally" Lorenzen, age 87, U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved husband for 57 years to Carol, nee Kohl. Loving father of Al (Tracy) Lorenzen, Keri (Warren) Cialdella and Lauri (Jim) Schutzius. Cherished grandfather of Laura, Casey, Nathan, Karlie, Alaina, Jason, Justin and Clara. Dear brother of Grace "Gay" Maslanka and the late Andreas "Andy", Walma, Quentin "Chuck" and Janice. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Wally served two tours of duty with the United States Army. He worked at Republic Steel before entering the Army for his first deployment. Wally later worked at International Harvester for 25 years. After retiring, he worked in the maintenance department for Tinley Park School District 146 and was known there as "Mr. Wally". He loved working in his yard, feeding the birds and taking care of his garden. He also enjoyed tinkering around the house--he could fix anything!
