Virginia Lucille 'Lue' Semple

Virginia Lucille “Lue” Semple, 86, of Rockford, IL passed away at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born Dec. 8, 1921, in Pruden, Ken., the daughter of Dal C. and Lena (Peila) Zoochi. Married William F. Semple in 1951; he died in 1992. Member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Survivors include daughter, Linda (Steve) Lizer; grandchildren, Scott Lizer, Sarah Lizer and Emily (Chad) Walters; brother, Charles (Mary Ann) Zoochi; sister, Evelyn Dalton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son, William G. Semple; brother, William R. Zoochi; and brother-in-law, Leland Dalton.
Service at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov 28, in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1829 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 3:30 p.m. to time of service; the Rev. Rich Likeness will officiate. Service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, in Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave., Orland Park, with visitation from 11 a.m. to time of service. Burial in Skyline Memorial Park. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
