Thomas G. Kollias, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 82. Tom lived his life in service to others, was devoted to his family, and loved his country.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Nicole Whitlow, son-in-law Rick, grandchildren Ryan and Alaina, his brothers Roger and Arthur, and sister Nadine. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Edith Kollias and stepson Derek.
Tom was a proud U.S. Army veteran, whose service during the Vietnam War shaped his character and values. He carried the ideals of duty and service with him throughout his life, often reflecting on his Army experiences with great pride, and sparking his passion for honoring American veterans. He applied the same level of commitment to becoming a successful businessman, having owned and operated businesses throughout his life. Notably, he founded Cabinetland, a custom kitchen remodeling business, and continued his work as a home inspector until his passing, showcasing his remarkable work ethic, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to quality in every project he undertook.
At the heart of Tom's life was his profound love for his family. As a devoted father and grandfather, he provided an abundance of love, support, and gentle guidance, always present for the significant milestones and celebrations that shaped their lives. His role as a dedicated brother was equally cherished; he delighted in spending time with his siblings, ready to offer wise counsel or a helping hand whenever it was needed.
Thomas loved the Lord and found joy in spending time with family and friends, sharing great meals, and offering his wisdom. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon at the church to follow. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to organizations that honor American veterans, reflecting his lifelong commitment to those who served. Thomas's legacy of love, service, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
