Thomas E. Bettenhausen, age 75, Ret. Oak Forest Fireman, passed away on June 4, 2023 at his home in Oak Forest, IL. Beloved husband of Cynthia L. Bettenhausen, nee Brewer and the late Sally L. Bettenhausen, nee Neal (2003). Loving father of Thomas (late Debbie) Bettenhausen, Tammy (Robert) Frankenbach and Anthony (Gayle) Bettenhausen. Cherished grandfather of Dylan, Dawson, Natalie and Trevor Bettenhausen; and Ryan (Colleen) and Sara Gottardo. Dearest great-grandfather of Stella and Emilia Gottardo. Devoted son of the late Irving and Eleanor Bettenhausen. Dear brother of Mark (Brenda) Bettenhausen and Donald (Donna) Bettenhausen. Fond brother-in-law of Debra Brewer, Jodi (Michael) Bruno and the late Barbara (Michael) Brice. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation Monday, June 26, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
