Theodore “Teddy” Dybas, age 58; Beloved husband of Paula (nee Runyon) for 35 years; Preceded in death by his parents Theodore Dybas and Judith Carter; Dear brother of the late Dennis Dybas, the late Diane (Bill) Gillooley, Denise (Gerry) Gilligan and Danielle (Jason) Huisman; Fond brother-in-law of Jana Runyon; Dearest uncle to Gerald (Julie) Gilligan, Ryan (Jen) Gilligan, Lauren (Matt) Arthur, Samantha Gillooley, Amanda Gillooley, Sean Huisman and great-uncle of Gerald, Jr., Aiden, Eilis, Jude, Michael and Sadie; Ted was a proud dog dad of Koko, Gracie, Abbey, Lola and Hazel; Proud member of Teamsters Local 705; Ted was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a deep love for his dogs. Music was another passion of his-whether attending concerts or simply playing his favorite tunes at home. Some of his best moments were spent in the comfort of his own backyard, gathered around a bonfire with friends and family, a glass of bourbon in hand, sharing stories and enjoying the warmth of both the fire and good company. Visitation Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Maher Funeral Home, 17101 S. 71st Ave., Tinley Park, IL (1 block east of Harlem on 171st St. in the Olde Tinley Park Library). Funeral Thursday 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. George Catholic Church, 6707 W. 175th St., Tinley Park, IL for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
