Teresa Lynn Dec

After a long, hard-fought health battle, Teresa Lynn Dec (53), passed away July 21, 2025, surrounded by the immense love of her family. Teresa is survived by her mother Crystal (Cummins) Dec, siblings Julie and Tommy, as well as loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and so many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Dec.

Teresa was a great reader and turned her love of books into her profession. She was a talented, respected editor, with a career spanning 30 years at Goodheart-Willcox Publisher. She greatly enjoyed all her collections of things that brought her joy—Disney and pop culture memorabilia, books, and era-specific dolls were among her favorites.

Teresa was a steadfast friend, a fierce protector of her family, and maybe the most devoted Duran Duran fan ever. Her big, radiant smile mirrored her heart and will be missed by all. VISITATION: Saturday, July 26, 1:00 - 7:00pm  INTERMENT: Private
