Roy E. Krueger, 88, was called to be with our Lord on November 18, 2021.
Roy was a man of strong faith with a gentle and giving spirit. He dearly loved the Lord, his family, and friends. Roy was born in Hurley, South Dakota to Max and Hilda Krueger and lived his life in the Chicago area. He was a long-time member of Hope Lutheran Church in Chicago and an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Orland Park. Roy served in the U.S. Army. He was an engineer with Peoples Gas and retired after 33 years. Roy loved to travel with Barb and their friends, play softball and horseshoes.
Roy was survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara, nee Burnson, daughters Debra (Ricky) Kroeger, Joyce (Scott) Hill, Eileen (Paul) Lindgren, his eight grandchildren--Joe (Tracy) Kroeger, Lindsay (Maumer) Marevac, Aaron (Kelly) Hill, Jason (Monica) Hill, Kristen (Robert) Nussbaum, Jen (Mark) Schnake, Brad Lindgren, Chris Lindgren and 15 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to our wonderful caregivers, Diana, Maria and Donna along with Palos Hospice nurses, especially Regina and Julie.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Roy's life will be held
Saturday, December 4, 2021
at Christ Lutheran Church, 14700 S. 94th Ave., Orland Park, IL 60462 at 10:30 a.m. with a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in the Spring 2022.
