Rosemary M. Langsjoen, nee Schwartau, age 93, of Tinley Park, IL formerly of Champaign, IL. Loving mother of Marcia Langsjoen, Sonja (Gary Hatfield) Langsjoen, Brenda (John) Ruf, Rolf (Florence) Langsjoen, Britta Langsjoen and the late Wilma "Widgie", Sandra "Sandy" and Lisa Langsjoen. Cherished grandmother of Adam Nicholson, Graham Nicholson, Elizabeth Ruf, John Carsten Ruf, Athena Hatfield, Viva Hatfield and Elliot Ruf. Dearest great-grandmother of Freya Nicholson. Devoted daughter of the late George and Eva (nee Husby) Schwartau. Preceded in death by her siblings Eleanor Annexstad, Evalyn Knabe, George Schwartau, Phyllis "Fizi" Hetzler and Marjorie Schwartau. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was born June 10, 1929 in Red Wing, MN and grew up in Cannon Falls, MN. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1947 and was the Valedictorian of her class. Rosemary then attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and graduated from there in 1951 with a BA Degree in Drama and English. She received a Master's Degree in education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She taught at numerous high schools in both Minnesota and Illinois. Rosemary's favorite occupation was Assistant Manager of the San Diego Children's Zoo from 1959-1960 where she frequently appeared on "Zoorama" a national CBS Network children's television show.
