Ronald E. Weynschenk

Ronald E. Weynschenk, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. Beloved husband for 58 years to the late Jane Weynschenk, nee Sittrop (2020). Loving father of Robert (Cheri) Weynschenk, Michael (Karen) Weynschenk, Walter (Kelly) Weynschenk and Monique (late Jim) Foley. Cherished grandfather of Krystal, Kourtney, Samantha, Savannah, Amy, Jordan and Ryan. Dearest great-grandfather of eight. Survived by his sister-in-law Mary Lemmens of The Netherlands.

After a long and fulfilling career as a welder fabricator, Ron retired with a new passion: raising koi fish. For thirty years he poured his heart into tending to his koi, importing from Japan in pursuit of beautiful specimens and the knowledge to care for them. Ron’s passion for koi led to starting koi clubs. He was a founder of Midwest Z.N.A. and Midwest Pond and Koi Society. Most important to Ron, however, was his family. He loved them very much and they meant everything to him.

A private Graveside Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
