Ronald S. Slager, age 53, "fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith," went home to be with his Lord after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend for 26 years to Donna, nee Tobuch. Loving father of Kelsey, Dylan and Lindsey. Devoted son of Doris (nee Janke) and the late Wilbur Slager. Dearest brother of James (Rita), Laura (Mark) Smith and Robert (Jayne). Fond son-in-law of Richard and Maryann Tobuch. Dear brother-in-law of Debbie (Bill) Grundy and Mary Lou (Mark) Björkman. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Ron will also be missed by his many friends, colleagues and players. He was a dedicated CPA for CBIZ in Chicago for 30 years.
