Roger A. Groen, Sr., age 87, beloved husband of the late Dolores A. Groen, nee Flim (2011). Loving father of Roger Jr. (Gretchen), Steven (Karen), John (Michelle), Michael (Jeannie), and the late James. Cherished grandfather of ten. Dearest great-grandfather of six. Long-time friend and companion of Pauline Bradford. Fond brother of the late Art and Don. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Owner and operator in the waste disposal business for over 64 years. He enjoyed his work so much he continued up until five weeks ago. He was an avid outdoorsman. Flying was a passion of his including being a coordinator for Air Lifeline.

Visitation Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
