Robert A. "Bob" Kern, age 79, US Army Vietnam Veteran, beloved husband for 42 years to Jacqueline G. "Jackie" Kern, nee Riedlinger. Loving Father of Matthew (Jessica) Kern and Kristen (Kenneth) Forsythe. Cherished grandfather of Grayson, Seja, and Hudson. Devoted son of the late Walter and Goldie Kern. Dearest brother of Edwin (Karen) Kern, Raymond (Lori) Kern, Debra (Howard) Shuman, the late Patricia (late James) Bannon and the late Janet (Robert) Okleshen. Dear brother-in-law of Karen (Richard) McCarthy. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Bob was part of the LaGrange Bible Church family for the past 12 years and loved going to church every Sunday. He worked for many years as a CPA in the insurance industry and for the State of Illinois Workers‘ Compensation Commission for the last 15 years. He dearly loved being with his family, going to sporting events, golfing, fishing, and walking his dog.

Visitation Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 3-8PM. Funeral Service Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10:00AM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th & Wheeler Dr. & Harlem Ave.) Orland Park, IL.
