Robert Hoffman

Robert P. Hoffman, age 74, U.S. Vietnam Marine Veteran. Beloved husband of Susan Hoffman, nee Vanderhoff. Loving father of Eric (Kristy) Hoffman, Michael (Karen) Donovan and Connie (Joe) Boehning. Cherished grandfather of Eric and Marissa Hoffman; Kyle, Jared and Samuel Donovan; Russell, Rachel and John Boehning; and Darian Hill. Dearest great-grandfather of Harrison and Carter Hill. Devoted son of the late Robert and Geraldine Hoffman. Dear brother of Sharon (Ed) Lesondak.

Robert proudly served his country. He served 26 months in Vietnam. He was assigned to the 1st Battery, 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines, First Marine Division. He received a meritorious combat promotion and was personally congratulated by General Earl Wheeler, commander of the First Marine Division.

Robert was loved by all that knew him. He had the biggest heart under his tough exterior. Robert was a fantastic storyteller and loved animals of all kinds. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed.

Services will be private.
