Robert Bruinius

Robert A. "Bob" Bruinius, age 86, passed away January 6, 2022. Beloved husband for 65 years to Carol, nee Meyer. Loving father of Donna (Jerry) Deckinga, Douglas (Dawn) Bruinius and the late Debra (John Jr.) Stoub. Cherished grandfather of Steven (Kelly) Deckinga, Sara (Kurt) Vellekoop, Scott Deckinga; William Stoub, Thomas (Terra) Stoub; and Kari (Steven) Dell. Dearest great-grandfather of Evan and Lillian Vellekoop; Liam and Gavin Deckinga. Dear brother of Ted (late Eileen), Chuck (Rose), and the late John(late Eleanor) and the late David (late Barbara). Fond brother-in-law of Geneva (late Andrew) VanKampen and the late Emmet (late Betty) Meyer, the late Clarence (Viola) Meyer and the late Henry (Lyda) Meyer. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Retired cement finisher with over 45 years of service. Member of Cement Masons Local 502 for over 63 years.

Visitation at Grace Community Christian Reformed Church 10415 S. Kedvale Ave. Oak Lawn, IL 60453 on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon. Burial at Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
