Robert J. “Bob” Hannon, age 90, Veteran U.S. Army Korean War and resident of Tinley Park.

Beloved husband of Marlene C. Hannon (nee Bots) for 66 years.

Loving father of Greg (Cathy), Gary (Mary), Valerie (the late Robert) Chudy, Glenn (Julie), Gil (Teresa) and Gordon (Chip).

Cherished grandfather of Allison (Michael) Cirullo, Amy (Joseph) Malizia, Brian, Kelly, Jennifer (Lance) Matsumoto, Amanda (Luke) Bowman, Sara (Conner) Fenton, Conner, Patrick (Jennifer), Cailin (Tim) Peasley, Ryan, and Jose. Great grandfather of Quinton, Brinley, Nathaniel, Joshua, Henry, Lance Jr., Erik, Hailey and Addelyn.

Dear brother of the late Jean (George) Nemitz; fond brother-in-law of Sister Julice Bots, SSND; the late Julie (Paul) Talley and the late Michael (Mary) Kasa.

Devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Bob spent his entire career as an Illinois Professional Land Surveyor, and was the owner and President of Chicago Guarantee Survey Company before retiring in 1992. Bob and Marlene put many miles into traveling with their children always camping. In his retirement years they traveled far and wide across the country and in Europe. Bob was a long-time resident of Calumet Park, staying active in the community and Seven Holy Founders Church.

Visitation Monday 4-8pm and Tuesday 10:00am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00am at the Maher Funeral Home 17101 S. 71st Ave Tinley Park  (1 block east of Harlem on 171st St in the Olde Tinley Library)..
