Richard C. "Rich" Swanson, age 92, US Navy Korean War Veteran, beloved husband for 54 years to the late Edith M. Swanson, nee Wade (2012). Loving father of Joy (Andy) Bocanegra, Pam (Mark) Anderson and Sandy (Ken) Romero. Cherished grandfather of Paul (Lauren) Heimann, Trulie Joy (Luke) Swantek; Daniel (Janna) Anderson and the late Matthew Anderson; Kenneth Jr. (Dana) Romero, Rachel (Ben) Adams, and Ricky Romero. Dearest great-grandfather of Linus, Chiara, Monica, Zelie, Anastasia, Ignatius, Lucy and Caspar; Braden and Bryson; James, Matthew, Samuel and Evelyn. Dear brother of the late LeRoy (Janet) Swanson.

Visitation Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment with Military Honors to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
