Richard Schutt, Sr., age 90, beloved husband of Dorothy Brink Schutt, nee Beezhold and the late Dorothy Schutt, nee Nieubuurt. Loving father of Bonnie (Phil) Heirendt, Richard C. (Linda) Schutt and Charles (Bernadine) Schutt. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Schutt, Andrea (Patrick) Scheive, Bethany (Alden) Van Solkema, Allison (Michael) Oleshko, Chaz (Jaclyn) Schutt, Jorrie Schutt and the late Jonathan Schutt. Dearest great-grandfather of Avery, Emma, Levi, and Grahaam. Fond step-father of Kenneth (Bonnie) Brink, Janis Brink and Robert Brink. Dear step-grandfather of Kevin (Linda) Brink and Danielle Brink and great-grandfather of Kyle, Ashley and Joshua. Much loved brother of Andy (Mert) and the late Herman (late Martha), Sue (late Martin) Smit, Nick (late Louise), George (late Grace), John (Ann) and Jennie (late Bernard) Boerema.

Rich led Bible studies for many years and lived as a humble servant to the Lord. He was known for his encouragement, hospitality, and ministering to anyone in need.

Visitation Monday, March 5, 2018, 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:30 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Burial private, Oak Hill Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
