Rebecca Pluister

Our beloved Rebecca Ruth "Becky" Pluister, nee Rusthoven, age 46, of Rock Island, IL left us on June 9, 2024. She leaves behind her husband of 22 years, Christopher J. Pluister, three children: Faith Christine, Lilleighanna Grace and Calvin Timothy. She is the daughter of Marilee and Jim Guthrie and the late Paul John Rusthoven. She is the sister of Paul Jr. (Amy) Rusthoven, Mark (Alex) Guthrie and the late Deborah Leigh Rusthoven. Becky is also the fond daughter-in-law of Jack and Pam (nee Phillips) Pluister, a dear sister-in-law of Allison Hart, Phillip (Lynn) Pluister and Melinda McCann, and the cherished aunt of Judah, Ezekiel, Noelle, Willa, Graham, Serene, Elliot, Rose and Hank. She is also survived by her grandmother June Phillips. Becky is also a niece, cousin and friend to many.

Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Becky touched the lives of all who knew her. To those of us who remain she would say that the suffering that we face is not eternal.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL from 3:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn, IL.

There will also be a Celebration of Life Service at Wildwood Church, 18717 Hubbard Rd., East Moline, IL 61244 on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 7:00PM-8:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for the education of Becky and Christopher's children are appreciated.
