Raymond J. Ohotzke, age 77, beloved husband for 55 years to Peggy Ohotzke, nee Geiss. Loving father of Brian (Alla) Ohotzke and Julie (Graesen) Arnoff. Cherished grandfather of Justin and Cassidy Ohotzke and Noah Arnoff. Devoted son of the late Raymond and Lillian Ohotzke, nee Wargowski.
Raymond grew up in Bridgeport, and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. In his late teenage years, Raymond enjoyed playing bass guitar with his best friends and their band. He met his beautiful wife Peggy at a local pizza place. What started as a chance meeting grew into a beautiful partnership built on love, laughter, and years of cherished memories together.
Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. He had a lifelong passion for fishing, and he truly enjoyed being on the water, rod in hand, surrounded by nature and the people he loved most. More than catching fish, he treasured teaching others the art and patience of fishing. Some of his happiest moments were spent alongside his children and grandchildren, sharing stories, baiting hooks and untangling fishing lines, creating memories that his family will cherish forever. Fishing may have been his first passion, but a close second was visiting casinos. He enjoyed the thrill of the games, the anticipation of a lucky streak, and going home a winner.
