Raymond A. Jensen, Sr.

Raymond A. "Ray" Jensen Sr., age 89, beloved husband for 70 years to the late Ramona "Mona" Jensen, nee Cox (2024). Loving father of Dawn (George) Vlachos, Wendy (Robert Jr.) Gallagher, Raymond Jensen, Jr., Wanda Beninato, Mark Jensen and John (Jeanne) Jensen. Cherished grandfather of Ramona Warner, Raymond (Meaghan) Warner, Shannon (Andrew) Rehs, Robert III (Cassandra) Gallagher, Amy (Brian) Giaretta, Katelyn (Malinda) McNato, Taylor (Kevin) McCormack, and Denton Beninato. Dearest great-grandfather of Finnegan and Fiona Warner; Emileigh and Ryan Gallagher; Cooper and Lincoln Rehs; Olivia, Brooklyn, Harrison, Rowan and Willow Giaretta; Liam and Mabel McCormack, and preceded in death by his great-grandson Robert IV. Also preceded in death by his siblings, Harry Jensen Sr., Ethel Jensen, Joyce Boersma and Frank Boersma. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ray worked in banking, chemistry, and property management all his working years. He loved God first and foremost and instilled his faith and values to his children. Ray was simply the best husband and father. He loved and adored his wife, children, and grandchildren. His love, guidance, and kindness will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.

Visitation Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 12:00 Noon at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
