Randy R. Schmitz

March 18, 1984 — June 8, 2026

Randy R. Schmitz, age 42, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous 12 year battle with brain cancer. Beloved husband for 11 years to Amanda, nee Tuftie. Proud father of Autumn and Landon Schmitz. Cherished son of Susan (nee Budnik) and Richard Schmitz. Loving brother of Jason, Krista (Jason) Krausz, and Melissa (John) Ippolito. Proud uncle of Sophie, Lillie, Izzie, Vinny, Joey, and Johnny. Dear nephew of Bob (Laurie) Budnik, Larry (Kelly) Budnik, Sandy Wettig, Kathy Poole, Ken (Anna) Budnik, Julie (Tom) Moran, Gina (Paul) Sally, Jay (Lisa) White, Eddie (Isabelle) White, Marilyn (Joe) Frank, Carolyn (late Roger) Pray, and the late David (Ingrid) Schmitz. Dearest grandson of Jane and the late Ed White and the late Matt and the late Lillian Schmitz. Fond cousin of many.

Randy was employed at A.E.R.O. Special Education Cooperative, where he truly loved his work and the opportunity to support students with special needs. Randy and his brother Jason were huge fans of WWE. He loved creating You Tube videos with his wife, children, uncles, and cousins. Randy lived life to the fullest and had an incredible sense of humor and an immense love for animals. He was an outstanding Texas Hold’em player and loved to travel. He was a big enthusiast of Halloween, his favorite holiday, and there were countless pumpkin patch adventures with his children. Apple-picking became a cherished family tradition with his wife and kids. Every night before bed, the kids would pretend to “hide” from dad, and he would playfully search for them, a nightly ritual that brought joy to the whole family. His family meant everything to Randy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
