Dr. Ramesh Savalia

Dr. Ramesh Savalia, 71, of Orland Park, Illinois, unexpectedly passed away on February 19, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy defined by hard work and devotion to his family. Born on November 23, 1954 in Amreli, India, Ramesh dedicated his life to caring for others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.

Ramesh was a physician who spent decades caring for underserved communities in Chicago. He was the devoted husband of Smita Savalia for 46 years and a proud and loving father to his son, Raj Savalia. His work and family was his greatest joy. Outside of his clinic, Ramesh was a huge foodie who loved cooking and grilling. He found happiness in bringing people together over meals. His generosity showed not only in his work but in his home where he created countless memories with family and friends.

Ramesh is survived by his beloved wife, Smita Savalia, and his son, Raj Savalia, along with his extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 1:00 - 3:00 a.m. with a Puja Service at 1:30 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home & Crematory, 15525 73rd Ave (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL 60462.
