Pilar Guiang (Guiang) Barredo

Pilar G. Barredo, 100 years old from Oak Forest, originally from the Philippines. Beloved eldest daughter of Nemesio and Felicisema. Cherished wife of the late Amadeo Barredo. Devoted mother of Alex Barredo. Loving auntie of of Laarni and Rey Dumlao. Cherished grand Lola of Katrina (Mike) and Larayne (Peter). Most loving great Lola of Riley and Logan. Sister of late Napoleon, Cesar, Aida, Celso, Sol, Nora, Solita, Aqulino and Emma.Auntie to many nieces and nephews Devoted friend to many.. Pilar started her career working in her local city government and rose through the ranks to the esteemed position of Provincial Treasurer. Upon retirement, Pilar started her own business selling sweet delicacies in her home town. Never one to be idle, Pilar turned one of her passions of flower arranging into another side business. Pilar was an active member of the Rotary Club as well as may more organizations. She enjoyed cooking, babysitting and traveling. Pilar will be truly missed by her loving family and friends and will be remembered as a strong woman of faith who loved her life in gratitude and touched the lives of all who knew her. WAKE Wednesday, April 23rd, 3-8pm. FUNERAL Thursday, 9:15 prayers at the funeral home processing to St. George Church for a 10:00 Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Holy Sepulchre.
