Phyllis R. Zylstra

Phyllis R. Zylstra, nee Bos, age 77, late of Sturgis, MI, formerly of Alsip, IL, passed away on December 17, 2025. Beloved wife for 55 years to the late George J. Zylstra. Loving mother of Timothy (Shelly) Zylstra and Robert (Julie) Zylstra. Cherished grandmother of Timothy Jr., Elizabeth (Brandon), Ashley, Michael and Adrianna. Dearest great-grandmother of Emerson.  Devoted daughter of the late John and Theresa (nee Bouma) Bos.  Dear sister of Gilbert (Ruth) Bos, Ilene (Warren) Lenderink, the late Shirley (late Roger) Medema and the late Henry (Mary Lou) Bos. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  

Phyllis was deeply involved in her church families. She was a pianist, led Coffee Break Bible study for decades, and served as an elder.

Visitation Monday, December 22, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Burial private at Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
