Pedro Estrada

Pedro G. "Pete" Estrada, age 93, beloved husband for 61 years to Maria, nee Reynoso. Loving father of Tony (Heather) Estrada and Clarissa (Charlie) Bliss. Proud Papa of Liam and Graham Estrada and Charlie Bliss. Preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Candelaria; and his six sisters Refugia, Florencia, Maria de Jesus, Felipa, Socorro and Rita. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Survived by many beloved friends and extended family.

Proud and dedicated machinist and foreman for The Rock Island and Amtrak Railroads for over 45 years. Longtime member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church. He enjoyed being a member of Seniors of Seton and taking trips. He loved dressing up every Sunday for Mass and going out to dinner with his wife. He took pride in gardening both flowers and vegetables, repairing cars, talking to his neighbors and telling stories. His proudest achievement was seeing his children graduate from Catholic grammar school, high school and college. He came to this country with very little and through hard work lived a very full and rewarding life.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff that took care of Pedro over the years. We also wish to express our thanks to the Tinley Park Fire Department and the paramedics that helped him as well as everyone at Colonial Chapel.

Funeral Mass Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9300 W. 167th Street, Orland Hills, IL. Interment private.
