It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patsy Sue Mondry of Bolingbrook, Illinois. Patsy died unexpectedly at home on March 12, 2025. Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, to Gregory L. Jr. and Beverly Mondry on February 18, 1967. Patsy was a treasured mother, partner, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Patsy is survived by her beloved son, Gregory Richard Bonham; her partner in life, Jeff Bonham; and her cherished dog, Forest. She is also survived by her sister Jan (Larry) Lindwall of Trail Creek, Indiana; her brother Joel (Nancy) Mondry of Orland Park, Illinois. Many nieces and nephews - Jimmy (Julie) Wagner, Jodi Wagner, Jackie (Jim) Sandusky; her nephew and Godson, Kevin (Chrissy) Mondry; and niece Katie (Andrew) Kreft, many great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She is also survived by her son’s family, Grandma Betty Bonham; sister Stephanie (Matt) Miller; and brother Steven (Ashley) Bonham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gregory & Beverly Mondry, as well as her brothers Johnnie, Gregory III (“Skip”), Michael, her sister-in-law Sandy Harper, and her nephew, Keith Mondry. She was also preceded in death by her adored dogs, Taffy, TJ and Brookie.

Patsy graduated from Oak Lawn High School in 1985 and went on to earn a degree in General Studies from Joliet Junior College.

Patsy was a passionate member of the Bolingbrook Band Boosters. Patsy was a teacher’s assistant at Valley View Community School District 365U, where she touched many students lives with her kindness and dedication. Patsy enjoyed gardening with a special love for plants. She enjoyed spending time outside and would often reminisce of her travels across country and many summers camping at Cutty’s and Mini Mountain campground with her family as a child. Patsy's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Visitation will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4660 W. 94th St., Oak Lawn, IL 60453 on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Private burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to the family.
