Norma Sylvia Silvestri was called home to her lord and savior on September 26, 2025.
Norma was born December 7, 1934 to Bruno and Jennie Bartolini in Oak Park, Illinois. She met and married the love of her life, Carl Silvestri and they were married for 50 years until his passing in 2004. She was the loving mother of Kenneth (Linda) Silvestri, Linda Marcotte and Cindy (Bob) Decker. The BEST grandmother of Carey, Lisa (Lance), Joe (Amanda), Kim (Andy), Paul, Neil, David (Natalia), Stacy (Nedal), Julie (Justin). She lived to be the great grandmother of 20! Her family was everything to her - ala familia!
She loved Frank Sinatra music, traveling, gardening, entertaining and of course cooking! Being part of her Italian family, you learned the meaning of devotion, patience, life long friendships and happiness. If you were lucky enough (and many were) to sit at her table you were in for a treat. For love, laughter and a fabulous meal were served in generous portions.
A celebration of her life and service will be held at Colonial Chapel, 15525 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 p.m.
