Michael Christopher Reule, age 26, beloved son of Debra Reule and Werner A. Reule. Loving brother of Rachel (Michelle) Reule. Cherished grandson of Werner and Rosina Reule and the late Joan and Gordon Brown. Dear nephew of Linda (the late Tony Cutrano) and the late James (Barbara) Drozdz. Dearest cousin of Chance Cutrano.
Michael died after struggles unknown to many. If one person's life could be saved by Michael’s story, then we would continue to tell it a million times over. We all know the pain Michael faced and we know there are hundreds of people out there struggling with addiction or as people who loved them.
Michael is not defined by addiction. He grew up in a loving family and home. He loved to make others laugh and was continuously putting smiles on people’s faces. During childhood, Michael was warm, resilient, hilarious, and fearless. He was creative, compassionate, hardworking, and caring. He was truly unique and one of a kind. Michael enjoyed being outside, connecting with the world. He loved music, dancing, and singing. He had a love for animals. He was a beautiful, adventurous, and a free spirited soul. He wanted nothing more than to be a loving son, brother, and friend. He lived a life that was all his own. The memory of Michael will be remembered as the life he lived and who he was before his demons grew too strong.
Regardless of attempts to overcome his battles, Michael passed away on January 5th, 2023. There is a comfort in knowing he is at peace, a peace that could not be found earth side. In a system that seems to have hardened against those that struggle with addiction and is failing them daily, Michael’s story does not end here. If you yourself are struggling from addiction, know that every breath is a fresh start. Please know that there are hundreds of families that have lost someone to this disease that are rooting for you.
