Melvin A. "Mel" Dokter, age 87, US Army Korean War Veteran. Beloved husband for 67 years to Margaret, nee Olgers. Loving father of Mark (Terri) Dokter, Marvin (Nancy) Dokter, Melissa (Cullen) Phillips, and Mike (Chris) Dokter. Cherished grandfather of Jessica (Peter) Clevering, Amanda Dokter, Samantha (Andrew) Kroese, Becki (Jason) Hoekstra, Alexa (Joel) Schut, Rachel Dokter, Graeff Phillips, Morgan (Alex) Gerst, Victoria Dokter, and Jon Dokter. Dearest great-grandfather of Hannah, Holly, & Heidi Clevering; Josh, Lilly, and Tessa Kroese; Robby and Abby Hoekstra; and Isla Gerst. Dear brother of the late Hilda (late Norm) Ozinga and the late Henry (Doris) Dokter. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
