Melbourne T. Lenz, age 92, U.S. Army Veteran, beloved husband of the late Joanne L. Lenz, nee Balcitis (2020). Loving father of Greg (Kathy) Lenz, Nancy Lenz, Douglas (Laura) Lenz, and William (Shannon) Lenz. Cherished grandfather of Ashley (Rudy), Kevin (Mary), Brianne (Brendan), Austin, Madison, Keagan (Brigid), Braden, Evan and Avery. Dearest great-grandfather of Eamon, Finley, Luna, and Arlo. Dear brother of the late Vernon (late Lorraine), and the late Phyllis (Don) Daniels. Fond brother-in-law of Judy (late Peter) Geovanes and the late Edward (Mary) Balcitis.

Melbourne loved planting and tending to his tomatoes. He was a diehard Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed watching M.A.S.H and NCIS. Longtime employee of Illinois Bell (AT&T) retiring in 1995.

Visitation Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6850 W. 159th St., Tinley Park, IL 60477 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
