Mel Roeda, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2009. He was an Army Veteran who served in Europe during WWII. Former husband of Maria, nee Wierenga. Loving father of Liz (Bill) Slager, Steve, and Chris. Dear grandfather of William III “Chip” (Karla), Liza, Scott, and Diana. Dearest great-grandfather of William IV. He was a devoted and giving person who will be greatly missed. Visitation Thursday, April 2, 2009, from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday, April 3, 2009, 11:30 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
