Maureen Wentz

Maureen A. Wentz, nee Kennedy, age 83, daughter of the late Rose and Raymond Kennedy, loving mother of Daniel (Julie) Wentz and Bill (Kathleen) Wentz, formerly married to the late William August Wentz. Cherished grandmother of Rebecca (Joe) Hawkes-Cates, Jessica Wolfe, Kathryn and Olivia Wentz. Dearest great-grandmother of William and Evelyn Hawkes-Cates. Dear sister of the late Raymond Kennedy, the late Patricia Bracken and James Kennedy. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Maureen was a beloved figure in the Village of Orland Park, known for her vibrant personality and deep involvement in the community. Having spent many years as a dedicated employee, she had become a familiar face to many. Maureen was active in both the Chamber of Commerce and Orland Seniors Group. Throughout her years of service and involvement, Maureen's energy never waned. Her impact on Orland Park was profound and her legacy is one of dedication, kindness, and a true commitment to making Orland Park a better place for all who call it home.

Visitation is Friday, December 15, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral is Saturday, December 16, 2023 , 8:30 a.m. from Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL to St. Michael Church. Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
