Mary Sasveld

Mary Alice Sasveld, nee Alsterda, age 90, beloved wife of the late Clyde J. Sasveld (2006). Loving mother of Glenn (Cindi Rees) Sasveld and the late Ronald (Suzanne) Sasveld. Cherished grandmother of Jessica (Thomas Carpy) Sasveld, Kelsey (Trina) Sasveld, Lucas (Kaitlin Ma) Sasveld, Ronald (Kirstey) Sasveld, Crista Rees and Cari (Jose) Zepeda. Dearest great-grandmother of 14. Dear sister of the late John (late Dorothy) Alsterda and the late Tom (late June) Alsterda. Fond sister-in-law of John (Patricia) Sasveld and Allan (Marjorie) Sasveld. Dear aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews.

After raising her family, she worked at a bakery for many years and enjoyed volunteering at The Thrift Store. Mary loved going on bus trips with her husband Clyde and after his passing, with her good friend Marlene Bulthuis.

Visitation Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park. Burial private at Beverly Cemetery, Blue Island, IL.
